That’s a fun song to play in AudioSurf. I’m amazed at how well you can play using the keyboard.
The trick is to not use the arrow keys. Instead, use the 1, 2, and 3 keys to switch lanes directly (in addition to ` and 4 for the shoulder lanes, as appropriate), and substituting the comma and period keys for left and right mouse clicks, respectively.
It may not be for everyone, but I much prefer it to using the mouse, as it’s much more responsive and precise. There are other benefits as well, like working equally well on a desktop machine in addition to a laptop with no external mouse.
You can play with a gamepad too.
Yeah, I heard that it even supports rumble on the Xbox 360 gamepad. I’ve been meaning to get the adapter for the PC so I can use my Xbox 360 gamepad on the computer.
i’ve just been using the mouse to play, hence my craptastic ninja mono skills
but i should just plug in my 360 controller and check it out.

I play with the mouse too. I prefer it that way.
However, I can see that the keyboard can have some advantages over the mouse, and vice versa. I imagine the best player would be proficient at both and use the one best suited for a particular song.
